Wonderful vets. Have looked after my boys for almost 15yrs now. I just wished I lived closer so they could continue to be our regular vet, but worth travelling to when needing something a bit extra or a second opinion. Everyone has always been fabulous and friendly. They provide genuine and honest care for your pets. My Charlie thought it was almost as exciting as going to the beach 😆
I truly cannot recommend Nicklin Way Vet enough. Since adopting my sweet girl Bean four years ago it’s been challenging to find supportive, compassionate vets that don’t charge through the teeth. When our first health scare happened and Bean came down with pancreatitis they were nothing short of a godsend- genuinely caring, with clear communication- not to mention charged very reasonably for a 24-hour stay with supportive treatment. After a ‘flare’ of her illness and a very challenging emergency vet hospital visit, they once again treated us both with care and compassion, supporting us with an ongoing management plan and checking in after our visit with the utmost compassion. As a pet mama whose cat means the world to them, I’m beyond grateful for the professionalism, empathy, and dedication of this entire practice. Particular shout-out to Dr Jana Diehm, Dr Hazel Gray, Dr Stacey Berkout, Belinda, Kerenza, and Candice who brought us both comfort (though I’m quite certain any and all of the staff here are as fabulous as each other)!
The service was good and the staff very friendly and obliging. Doug showed an interest in my dog and her puppies, he helped me to do everything possible to try to save 1 of my babies. He did unfortunately die later that day. Doug told me he wasn't in great shape. I got peace of mind that I did right by this little fellow. Thank you Doug for take an interest. The help i received getting my dog and her babies to and from the car. The practice showed empathy for my situation

Have been taking our Maltese girls to Nicklin Way Vet Kawana for over 20 years. They are genuinely the best on the coast. I can’t imagine them not being there when we need them. Dr Gray was very nice and examined and inoculated our cats gently. She did thorough checks of each cat and gave us information we needed. Dr Hazel Gray friendly atmosphere
I find the extended hours really handy. My cats have always had good treatment there. I really like dealing with Dr Ruby altho I haven't had an appointment with her for a long time. All the staff seem lovely. I have a lot of difficulty getting one of my cats into the carrier so I have sometimes not gotten to my appointment on time and the staff are always quite flexible for me.
The team at Nicklin Way Veterinary Surgery have always gone above and beyond to provide the best care for our golden retriever Hazel when she has visited. In particular, we had a recent incident where Hazel required surgery and they responded promptly to ensure her needs were attended to and that she was comfortable throughout. Furthermore, they kept me updated regularly and even sent me a personalised message and photo of my fur baby post surgery. Thank you to the lovely receptionists, Dr Danielle, Dr Adam, and the bosses who came in to assist Hazel on such short notice. Our family are so grateful for the care you provided! 😊

With how stressful and genuinely terrifying it was to hear about the potential issues my cat faced, this place helped alleviate my concerns with a lot of care and patience. You all took care of Eclipse so well and I knew that after I picked her up, you guys just made her feel so much at home. She can be a very scared cat, albeit not showing it much due to how docile she is, but she was very laidback and chill when I got her back.

My dog Coober C needed to go to the vet today with a sore foot. Being the end of the year my day was so busy especially with my work phone going wild! Upon arrival I was told it won’t be long and right away the vet nurse came out had a chat about what was going on and assured me he’d be in safe hands. When Coober came out not only was his sore foot attended to the amazing nurse clipped his nails for me, cleaned/plucked his ears and did the cutest ever Xmas paw wrap for him. I hope the amazing nurse see’s this…. As I was on the phone I wanted to say….. Thank you SO MUCH for fitting Coober in and making his week more enjoyable by being in the safest hands on the coast. They even fitted us in on Xmas eve just too check in on him. Thank you once again and if you’re in need of an amazing vet. Let this be your sign!

I have found everyone at Nickilin way vets to be friendly helpful and very professional, the vets are awesome and very thorough in their work. All the vets I have seen have been extremely good at handling my overexcited boxer and handling any concerns I have had. Clean premises and friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Sunday was our first appointment at your clinic, Adam was lovely and we were really happy with the advice he gave us. I had heard about your clinic previously so when we got our cat it was an easy decision to come to you for support and treatment. I really look forward to continuing with your practice for years to come. Adam, he was so gentle with Chico and really happy to educate us about her presenting condition. The online booking option is a great bonus feature too!

I dropped in a stray dog found in Bokarina. The surgery said the microchip was old and not from this area. I did my best to locate the owner and they were found from my Facebook post.
I rang up to check and the receptionist was really rude and hung up on me.
I don’t think you should treat people this way who go out of their way to help an animal putting me 2 hours behind work on a Sunday. I didn’t ask for any details of the owner. I had been getting some different messages on Facebook.
Is this really how your surgery treats good samaritans? It was unnecessary to be spoken to condescendingly like this.
Edit: The response and apology you offer is insincere. You cannot apologise for how someone feels. You can only apologise for being rude on the phone and hanging up which you didn’t do in your response.
I hope you teach the staff member to be kind on the phone in future. There’s no need for you to review the CCTV - it was on the phone. How sad that you had to end things this way.

I find this practice very professional and extremely caring and compassionate. Dr Adam was so wonderful with our dear old Sultan. Sadly he passed but Adam did absolutely every possible to make in comfortable. The compassion and expertise is next to none.

We have been clients of Nicklin Way Veterinary Surgery since we arrived at Caloundra in 2009. Our appreciation of the care, dedication and commitment of the team has grown since then. 'Tara', the cat who made the move with us had a chronic condition that meant she would vomit every few days. Doug Gray made enquiries with a colleague about a form of medication for 'Tara'. It transformed her life until she died just short of her 20th birthday. Since then, we have been lucky enough to have been joined by our Shih Tzu 'Bonnie'. Her eyelid was snipped while being groomed and within hours she was operated on by an eye specialist with the practice who repaired the damage. They are the best.
Steph, Hazel, Doug and the team have been so thorough and supportive in helping us deal with our staffy going through cancer. They have fully explained all options of treatment and have been truly caring and supportive through this process.

I've had such a positive experience with the staff here. The reception team is incredibly helpful and never made me feel bad for calling multiple times. I was quite stressed and unsure about what to get for my dog, but they were so kind and accommodating throughout the process.

Two veterinarians over a couple months would not help me with my cat's eye infection. I paid one of them $80 to show me how to wrap a towel around my cat. The infection became worse and I was very worried. I found Nicklin Way Vet Surgery after researching an eye specialist. I was seen quickly, the veterinarian was very, very helpful and understood the problem with his eyes. He prescribed antibiotics and ointment to help my "little man". I was in tears after leaving - this vet listened and saw our dire situation. I'm now going to take my cats to this clinic.

I brought my dog Zeus to Nicklin Way Vets during a very distressing time, as he was struggling to breathe. The team there provided exceptional care. They administered oxygen and put him in a medically-induced coma to help stabilize him, knowing there was only a 50/50 chance of survival.

She thoroughly explained his condition—pulmonary edema—and was upfront about the potential outcomes, which helped me prepare for any situation. The level of support and dedication they showed was remarkable, and their efforts made a significant difference.

Dr Stacey, Sam and the rest and the team really go above and beyond. It wasn't just the high standard of service, but the way the team takes time to help you as an owner to understand and feel comfortable. Our previous vet had advised against surgery due to our dogs age. Dr Stacey talked us through the procedure and explained the precautions they would take and how the treatment was a much better option for him rather than treating the pain. They called us for the next few days afterwards to make sure Nitro's recovery was going well and make a follow up appointment. We really appreciate the whole team. Thank you so much.
Always great service, easily able to book online, good prices, I've seen a few vets there but Doug is always great. I haven't met many of the nurses but I'm sure they're running the show beautifully in the background.
I recently had a fantastic experience at Nicklin Way Veterinary Surgery. I needed a same-day appointment for my furry friend, and they were able to accommodate me without hesitation. My fur baby Rocky is always well looked after by all staff at this clinic and l can’t fault them. They have been my veterinarian for over 13yrs. Had to bring my boy here as my regular vet is closed on Sunday and these guys were so so kind! My boy has a lot of anxiety about vets but the lady who saw us was so kind and patient, he was calm enough with her to eat a treat- he's never done that anywhere else! 10/10 if I didn't already have a regular place, I'd be going here for sure. :)

The most amazing group of people on the coast, my boy crossed the rainbow bridge on Easter Thursday, 161/2 years old, and for nearly 15 years he was cared for, loved and treated so well. He was treated like a rock star. Thank you all so much ❤️

So glad we decided to try a different vet after not having the nicest experience elsewhere. Dr Stephanie is such an asset to Nicklin Way Vets - kind, attentive, non judgemental and extremely generous with her time and sharing of her knowledge. While vet appointments are always costly, this is the first time I have left feeling thoroughly educated about the recommendations and rationale. It's made us feel that we are making informed decisions about our dogs care, not just spending $$$ because we’ve been told to. So thank you very much Dr Stephanie. The nurses and reception were all kind and cheerful too, lovely atmosphere :)

This is a fabulous practice with sincerely caring Vets and Nurses. We have been bringing our dog here for years & she never has 'scared of the vet' issues - quite the opposite in fact. We always feel welcome and that our pet is receiving the best possible care.
I was so happy with Jana yesterday. She was so professional and her attitude towards me made me feel very comfortable. All my questions were thoroughly answered and I did not feel rushed. Kerensa was very helpful when I arrived at reception- I left confident and informed about my dog's health issues.

Marley (14yrs) and I have seen both Dr Stephanie and Dr Ruby. Dr Ruby was so kind in gently delivering to me some difficult news and made me feel safe and comfortable in having my emotions. She was very caring towards Marley and has ensured he is in the best possible condition to keep living a wonderful life. Dr Ruby prioritises Marley's comfort and joy, which is very important to me. Dr Stephanie has helped us when Marley has had some urgent health problems and was incredibly reassuring and went above and beyond to ensure his complete wellbeing was examined and he was being treated appropriately. I feel very confident putting Marley in Dr Stephanie hands as I know he is being completely taken care of by a kind and caring veterinarian. The Nicklin way clinic is very genuine and transparent. I have never received an invoice I was surprised by or unhappy with, compared to other vets we have attended the pricing is amazing. It is such a good feeling to know I have found kind and caring vets. I love that Marley is treated on a wholistic basis, taking into account his comfort and happiness rather than slamming him with treatments to solve issues that aren't worth worrying over at his age. Dr. Danielle was amazing with our Cavoodle. She was extremely knowledgeable, kind, sensitive and thorough in her examination and testing to determine the best course of treatment. I felt confident in leaving my dog at NWVS for the 6 hours required. ALL the vets our three dogs have seen over the past 3 years are EXCELLENT!! We recommend NWVS to all the people who adopt puppies from us.

Took my dog for a yearly check and some grooming and Dr. Dough did an excellent job with my dog (who is a bit scared of the vet) and gave me some good advice. Very professional. Also the ladies in reception are very friendly. Would recommend.

Unfortunately we had to say goodbye recently to our old boy Max. Everyone we spoke with at NWVS were so helpful and were really accomodating when scheduling appointments. We would particularly like to acknowledge the amazing efforts of Dr Dani. Dani was incredibly kind and caring, not only showing patience and support to my partner and I, but the way she cared for Max in his final weeks was so reassuring for us. The vet surgery provided excellent care for my pet. The staff was knowledgeable, compassionate, and efficient. The facilities were clean, and the veterinarian took the time to explain the treatment options thoroughly. Overall, a positive experience, and I trust them with my pet's health.

I have been taking my pets to Nicklin Way Vets for around 20 years and have always been impressed with the care and devotion that all the staff and vets have for all of the pets that I have seen them interact with during my visits. Belinda and Robin are the main receptionists that I have delat with and they have always been very helpful, especially since we moved to Poona and I try to fit in appointments and picking up tablets for Kaiser on our trips to the coast.

All the team are super helpful and knowledgeable! They're all very gentle with my fur babies and prices are very reasonable. The vet we saw yesterday was super lovely, so friendly and knowledgeable. The owners are beautiful as well! The genuine care of the team is unmatched. I've had vets in the past doing vaccines for my cats who inserted the needle, had my cat jolt so pulled it back out and had to stab them again… never had a bad experience with Nicklin way vet 🩷
I absolutely LOVE my vet. From the front of house to the nurses and veterinarians. I have been bringing my little girl, EL (cat) in since she was 8 weeks old. She has had all her vaccinations and even her desex there and I have always felt so comfortable and safe leaving her there. As most understand, our pets are our children and I feel so so comfortable leaving EL in their capable hands. Everyone is so caring and lovely and honestly treat your baby like they are their own. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you for everything you all do x

They are a completely non-judgemental team and are reassuring when things just aren't going right. They go to the ends of the earth to make sure your pet is wel looked after. Would definitely recommend! Dr Kym is always great. And the reception staff in general facilitate the appointments and requests with ease. If you have a question they will get it answered!

We have been going to Nicklin Way for the last 7 years. Over that time, they have always shown their care, experience and professionalism from routine health checks to cancer treatment for our furry family. Dr Doug has unfortunately had the task of delivering a diagnosis of cancer not once, but twice to us in two years. Both times he has been calm, understanding and confident in her treatment approach. The delivery of bad news is never pleasant, but we appreciate how Dr Doug has delivered the news both times and his communication during her treatment. Overall, the receptionist, nurses and vets all deserve to be recognised as it is a team effort.

I was extremely happy and relieved when I met the vet Dr Danielle on Friday last, she showed compassion, understanding and kindness towards my terrified cat, as well as answered all my questions on feeding and how to help her stay calm - that is what I want an excellent vet
Very happy with the care we receive for our dogs, from the moment we arrive, to the moment we leave. Appreciate the fact you price match on medications as our dog, Louie, has diabetes and caninsulin is expensive. One of the vets picked up cancer, in its early stages, on our other dog, Archie, for which we will be eternally grateful as the early detection has given Archie the best prognosis we could hope for

After shopping around for compatible prices here on the Sunshine Coast I took my pregnant German Shepard to them for emergency treatment and was extremely pleased with their outstanding service and above all the final fee paid for her treatment I would recommend a call to this vet clinic before engaging any other Vet.

Although it was A distance from me. I drove past another vet on the way with terrified cat in the cat. The Vet came and helped me bring her in. Once in there she was fine. Wasn't traumatised and relaxed. The vet treated her well. Helped me get her back in the car. Staff were lovely.

we took our mini dashhound nearly 14 years old as we thought he had stroke & thought he would be put down.the vet was very thorough & told us it was arthritis in his ear & said it might get better in time.it did get better but unfortunately he passed away in his sleep about 10 days later.the care & professionalism that was shown on a Sunday was excellent.
